Authors. Picture Book PEROZO

Joussette Rivodó has a college degree in performing arts from the Central University of Venezuela, where she teaches a writing and speech workshop. She got her master´s degree on Comparative Literature at the same college, with a study on a poem book and a movie that rewrite some children´s books. She copyedited the first number of Curruchá La Revista, a magazine of the radio programme Curruchá, about popular or folkloric Venezuelan music, and did the same for Arte en diálogo, National Museum Foundation of Venezuela´s magazine. She produced content for the language and literature area of Santillana Editorial, under the supervision of Korinna Bustamante. She and some coworkers founded La rana paridora, a collective who provides editing, and produces and coordinates art events and workshops. She is a member of the coordinating editor staff of Agujero Negro, publication of the UCV´s School of Arts. She entered the world of children´s book through projects undertaken along with Vanessa Balleza, such as Angélica, Perozo y Martin on a train.

Vanessa Balleza has a college degree in visual arts from the Central University of Venezuela, and studied comic and illustration at the López Allaco Comic Book Schooll. This studies have influenced her making of a style which combines different techniques and formats. She has work as illustrator for several journals, such as El Diario de Caracas, Economía Hoy y Ecos de Caracas. Her work can be found also in OceanDrive y Todo en Domingo de El Nacional, to mention a few magazines. Her experience in the world of children literature includes illustrating for Santillana, Romor, Monte Ávila y Biosfera, producing: La T alta, Oto el pirata, El origen de los mosquitos, Orquídea bondadosa y La fiesta del llano. As a visual artist, she and Cristina Núñez founded Artistas en conjunto, a collective who produces and coordinates art shows and exhibitions since 2004. José Luis Omaña has a college degree in visual arts from the Central University of Venezuela, where he teaches a subject on art philosophy. He also has a master´s degree on Literary Studies at the same college. He worked as a researcher for the Contemporary Museum of Caracas and coordinated several projects of curation, and produced the editing of catalogues. He was the coordinating editor of Arte en diálogo, the National Museum Foundation of Venezuela´s magazine. He and some coworkers founded La rana paridora, a collective who provides editing, and produces and coordinates art events and workshops. He leads the coordinating editor staff of Agujero Negro, publication of the UCV´s School of Arts.
